I love your descriptions of the foods.  Wikipedia explains that flatbreads were invented well before the Roman empires, and the first known example of the word &quot;pizza&quot; dates from the 8th century AD.
Of course, they didn&#039;t have tomatoes until about 1200 years later.  Thanks for the astounding photos and stories!  -- Ray Bruman]]></description>
